The Zoo and Other Stuff

His dad made Nate some shirts with iron-on transfers. Doesn't Nate seem cooler for it?

On Saturday we went to the Franklin Park Zoo, which I would rank as just okay and possibly a little depressing with some crappy habitats, but Nate did get to see some close up, real life animals. He was pretty into it. We dressed him up like Henry Fonda for the occasion. Here he is petting a goat:

We got real close to the gorillas. That's the gorilla's poop smeared on the glass, not mine.

Here's a photo of Nate utilizing his primary mode of communication, the point and squeal:

So Many Playgrounds

One of the benefits to living in Taxachusetts is the abundance of playgrounds in our suburban neighborhood within walking distance. This comes in handy since we don't have a yard. There is a playground directly across the street that Nate enjoys very much, and using the miracle that is craigslist.com we procured for him a second hand wagon for riding to and fro (see above). I am very much against retail pricing.

Here's Nate perched on one of those boring horsies (this one I see is actually a car modeled on the boring horsey formula). I presume he did not climb up there himself. The face he's making is a cross between his 'Winning Smile' and his 'I am totally evil' facial expressions.

Normally, he has a rather slack-jawed yet serious expression, as seen here:

He is tolerating baseball caps, which is totally cute. I really like this overall & baseball cap combo outfit. It's a classic little boy ensemble.
