Biodiesel!!

Chris was recently able to fill his new old Mercedes with its first tank of biodiesel, and wanted me to mark the occasion with a photograph. He is off the grid, yo. Out of the matrix.

Nate in his Fuzzi Bunz

Here is a photo of barrel-chested Nate sporting his new cloth diaper. Yes, I'm going to try to mix in some cloth diapering with all the plastic disposables. Yes, I know you think it will fail miserably due to the inconvenience and the constant washing. We shall see. One thing thats good/gross about this particular brand of diaper is that they have a high resale value on Ebay, even when USED (ick). So if I decide that its too much of a hassle, landfills be damned, I'll just sell them on Ebay.

Bean the cat likes Nate. After spending the afternoon lying around on the floor together Bean decided to take the relationship to the next level.











We are hoping this is just a feline grooming instinct and not "Bean's first taste".

Red Pants

For some reason, when Nate is wearing those red pants he likes to lie with is body really straight and rigid, as evidenced in the above photo. Nate also met his New Hampshire cousins last night for the first time, and he got dressed up in his red pants and his froggy sweater for the occasion. I do like those red pants.

Here is a quartet of pictures taken last night when Nate was awake but not squealing for food or a dry diaper, or straining to poop or burp. His brief periods of contentment are when he's cutest and makes the best faces. I guess this is the time when youre supposed to stimulate his intelligence with pictures, classical music, multiplication flashcards and learn-to-speak Spanish tapes.

These were taken around 11pm. Five hours later, mom was finally able to sleep for longer than 10 minute intervals.

Aunt Sarah's Handknit Booties

This little boy has got some huge feet. These booties fit perfectly and enhance his outsized peds nicely, don't you think?

I don't need no stinkin' antidepressants...

No baby blues to speak of (yet), but perhaps just a desire to consume him because he's so CUTE. Think Lenny from Of Mice and Men. I really look insane in this picture, don't I?
