Bedtime

So, Nate is now 4 months old and not exactly sleeping through the night. He will still wake up hungry a couple of times, and he doesnt like his crib nearly as much as he likes his bedside co-sleeper, seen here:

The reason our bedroom is such a disaster is because we just moved, and also because I don't clean. The gigantic tub of vitamins on my nightstand is good feng shui. Yes, I realize that we have an ungodly amount of pillows. Anyway, Nate prefers to sleep in the co-sleeper or better yet in bed with us (I remove the pillows). I sort of like this arrangement because I don't have to actually get up when he screeches and I can quickly jam his pacifier back into his face before he gets so worked up with rage that he wont fall back to sleep. The pacifier is incredible. When properly applied it's like an instant 'off' switch. There are some drawbacks to co-sleeping, including lack of privacy and the possibility that he will still be sleeping in this thing when he's 11, but for now look how happy...

Bumbo Seat

I must admit that when Allison first showed me the Bumbo seat I was a little skeptical but Nate seems to like it. He'll probably like it more when his neck is a little stronger (he's still kind of a bobble head). Here's is a picture of him sitting in his Bumbo scoping out the perilous coffee table corner.

Pinstripes. Daddy's Dilemma

Well it's no secret that we are a baseball family in a baseball town. Nate WILL be a Red Sox fan (or else)! Obviously this little suit is an attempt to appease both Sox and Yankee fans alike. While the color scheme of the red sleeves with the blue cuffs is satisfying I have to tell you that the sight of my boy in pinstripes is a little unsettling.
