Avery Gail Fiala
Well here she is! Avery entered the world on 3/12/08 at 3:20am and weighs in at 7lb 5oz. Both mom and baby are doing great. I, however, need more coffee (hence this abbreviated post). Allison mother was able to make it down from Maine to be with us again and a big thanks to Uncle Nick for staying with Nate while we were at the hospital. More details and pics to come.
Again, Allison looks awesome minutes after giving birth. Even at 3:30am and doing it all natural. These girls are my heroes!
This is just a cute shot of her first bath at the hospital. She LOVED getting her head scrubbed!

Congrats to you both! Avery is lovely. (Definite evidence of Burgess side of the family in that head-scrubbing pic...) And Allison, you DO look great. Like you just had a late night watching BSG Season 3 on DVD instead of, say, giving birth.
(And Nate... better get ready, little man. I think your mom got off easy with her younger siblings, but MY experience is that they always wanna mess with your stuff!!)

Wow!! Congrats! Avery is super cute from day one.
I am sure Nate will be an awesome big brother--and now he has someone to hold down and fart on when he gets to be a teenager.

Avery is beautiful! And Chris is right - you look wonderful after giving birth Allison. And Nate - from personal Mommy experience - the person who said that younger siblings "always wanna mess with your stuff" IS RIGHT.
So - when are you all coming to Bristol so I can meet Allison and the kids????? ( I REALLY want to hold the baby!!! )

Hmmm. I think I have bad under eye circles. Next time I give birth, remind me to use some concealer and get some Clairol for that gray stripe. You only get to take that picture once...

Are you kidding? I LOVE your gray stripe! It makes your hair look all swoopy and bouncy and natural. Don't change that! Everybody dyes their hair. Only true beauties can wear their hair natural. Your skin is all even and flawless, not red and blotchy. You really do look gorgeous. And your old man said so too so it's settled.
You coulda looked like me, THAT would've been worse. The anesthesia from the last minute c-section left me with the shivers I couldn't get rid of so moments after I gave birth, I was wrapped head to toe in hot blankets in an effort to aleviate the shivers I got . Plus that stupid surgery cap squished my already flat hair. NOT pretty!

Avery is beautiful. I really want to send the link to my mom, but I'm afraid she'll see that Mrs. Burgess has a namesake grandchild and start giving me pointed looks. Congratulations to all! (And excellent work keeping the first photos G-rated; we ended up with quite a few that, well, aren't.)
