Mommy's New Baby

Awww! Nate is scared of the new family member! Well, not so much a family member as a robot slave for mommy. This Roomba is perhaps the most extravagant thing I have ever bought. However, I am hoping it will be very useful in a house with 2 cats (with occasional fleas), 2 small children, and 2 adults who loathe vacuuming & sweeping. Chris said he would vacuum every day if I paid him what I paid for the Roomba, but I somehow doubt that agreement would last very long. Roomba is already loads more useful than Nate, perhaps this is why Nate feels threatened. It's as if he dumped his Kix cereal and ground it into the carpet this morning with the express purpose of proving his dominance over Roomba. But...Roomba won that round.

Check out our vintage front door...our apartment is all charm, no updates since 1910. Did I mention that charm wears thin pretty quickly?

I need one of those things. My friggin' house is so hairy it isn't even funny. Havin' a husky, you can't even imagine!

    Uh Yeh, another post.
BTW, Allison, you look great. At least you only get a tummy but if I were to just see your face, I'd never know you were preggo. I'm sure you feel like dooky at this point but you look great. Just a little protruding tummy. I love pregnant tummies! You guys should do a belly cast before you pop. It's cool to remember how big you got.

Is your charming apartment a triple decker? I am writing a large paper on triple deckers and their numerous charms and social context. I might want to pick your brain if it is.

So the roomba doesn't get stuck under the sofa and other goofy things? What do the cats think?

Ditto the cute belly. Cast that suckka!!

Not a triple decker...a side by side duplex. Triple deckers are actually not terribly common in Newton, but once you venture into Dorchester and Somerville they are everywhere. Also, they are always on fire.

The Roomba goes under the couch and anything else it will fit beneath. The cats seemed a bit freaked out at first but now they don't really seem to care. It's a matter of time before they just let the Roomba bump into them because they're too lazy to get out of it's path.
