Virginia!
Last week we made the long drive to Grandma & Grandpa's house in VA. The drive itself was pretty successful, mainly because we have a DVD player that Nate could veg out to when he got the wiggles, and also because he got to eat things such as Oreos. Nate had never eaten Oreos before, and I figure it was about 10 minutes of preoccupation per cookie. The ride is about 12 hours, you do the math.

Actually, we only had 3 Oreos because they were given to us for free by a polite gentleman in a truckstop, who included some soul saving literature in the cookie bag as well. Free Oreos = Eternal Salvation.
At G-Ma and G-Pa's house he got to do so many exciting things, like go to Hungry Mother State park for a little picnic and some swimming. He took to swimming (and picnicking) with gusto.

We didn't have to go far from G-Ma & G-Pa's house to have fun, though. We don't have a yard at home so Nate took full advantage of his grandparent's. We went to the playground a few times too, so that G-pa could have an excuse to play on the equipment.

I just like this picture. This is my usual POV:

Love Love LOVE that shot of Nate standing looking at the trees. It's all "Little guy, big world" and stuff. I love the shots where he's looking at the camera. You can see so much in his eyes, it's crazy. He's so awesome.
