Long time no post...
What's happened in the last month? Lessee...work got really busy, Gram came to Newton and lived with us for a few weeks while Chris worked, the kids have been taking turns getting colds and/or runny ear infections, and I have been fantasizing about sleeping a solid 8 hours. Chris' brother and sister-in-law insist they want to take the kids for a night and my parents also claim the same thing, so I need to figure something out. Fast. I have also toyed with the idea of leaving for a hotel after the kids go to bed and just letting Chris deal with Avery. That seems like an awesome idea to me. Avery happens to be the wiggliest baby of all time and this doesn't stop when she falls asleep. And since she wails whenever she isn't smashed right up against me to sleep I basically get kicked and grabbed all night. The sleep deprivation makes me cranky, and this is why I am spacey at work and why your loud chewing noises bother me more than usual, and why I feel like I want to hurl my cats at the wall when they walk on me at 3 A.M. et cetera.
But here she is being cute at the park

And sporting a fauxhawk

Thank goodness they are cute. Otherwise it'd be reaaaaaaally hard to stick with it when they are being hell on wheels. I'm curious, are girls kind of worse than boys? I've always assumed that boys are physically exhausting and girls are mentally exhausting. I am mentally exhausted as I type. Hannah is way ahead of me most of the time and I'm growing tired of being the dumb one around here! ;-D If she's this way at two, I hate to imagine what teen years are going to be like.

Avery is both more mentally and physically than Nate was, already.

We instituted a 'no cats in the bedroom' policy because the cats were waking my hubby up every single night and we wanted to avoid cat hurling. Unfortunately, that is a lot harder to implement with kids.
Hope you get some sleep soon.

Just hope that your cats die before Kate Jr. is born.

Naah...juggling kids and pets would just be part of the fun!! We keep debating whether or not to get a puppy.

Uhhhhh double warning on the puppy thing. We waited until Hannah was 2 and that puppy is a pain in the......well, you know where. Sweet, but we totally should've stuck with one old dog instead of bringing in a puppy.
