Bathtime Cuteness
I'll post a few cute pictures of Nate now to remind myself how pleasant and sweet he can be, while he screams in his crib from the next room. I am attempting some sort of quasi-Ferberizing to help him learn to go to sleep on his own, and this is night #2 of him screaming for upwards of an hour. Every 10 minutes or so I'll go in and re-pacifier him. His eyes will droop and he'll shut up for a minute before he remembers that he's trying to be mad and re-ignites the screamfest. He's really, really mad. I just don't want him to have to be held to sleep each night, to be gingerly placed in his crib with the hope that he won't wake up to discover that he's being adandoned and demand to be held more. I still remember the ordeal it was to get my brother to bed, who would NOT just go to sleep. To this day he still has sleeping issues.
Anyway, here is Nate being cute. His hair is longer than his dad's at the moment.

* Nate finally fell asleep after an hour of wailing, but I had to stand there until his eyes drooped close for the last time.

UBERCUTE! Are you SURE he isn't like this all the time? Surely he's too cute to throw a fit! (: I'm trying to get Hannah to do the nap time thing in her crib too and it is really hard. I don't think we are programmed to just listen to the baby cry so it's really hard, especially when they won't just cry themselves to sleep. (God that even sounds sad doesn't it?) I think that's a myth they tell ya to try and give you some hope cuz it doesn't happen with Hannah either. She just cries harder and harder until she coughs or spits up, then I REALLY feel guilty. Good Luck, I hear it's super hard for a few days but they learn it really quick. Hope he is in the "really quickly" category.
